Sunday: Y-day - 6
Lovely weather. Up and going at 8:00 for a short round through the fields between Hengelo and the university. Met only some dog owners and one other runner.I still need to get some work done today (finish a report on the demand for technical support in the faculty, really looking forward to that!) but spending some time on this blog enables me to postpone that for a little while. Also I still have to find out what my York apartment has to offer in the way of bed covers & towels. Later today Liesbeth, Janine and Ron wil drop by for a combined farewell & consolation drink.
Among the many things I want to do in York is explore around the University, as far as a walk, run or bike tour can take me. A lot will depend on the weather: if it's like today (fat chance) then I should know York like the inside of my pocket by the time I leave.
Q: What will fit into two large suitcases? Can I bring running shoes, biking shoes, squash shoes, indoor sports shoes, hiking boots, indoor slippers as well as my everyday shoes, or is it silly to even try? To think I used to laugh at the number of shoes that Elise has lying around...
I know how you're feeling about luggage except that in my case I had to fit everything I owned in the two suitcases... :P
ReplyDeleteThe drinks were great. So was the food. Don't forget your formal shoes to go with black tie and white tie. Gr. Ron
